Sri Balaganapathi is the child form of Lord Ganesha, worshipped as the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom. At Sri Varahi Temple, he is seated gracefully, blessing devotees at the beginning of their spiritual journey.
📖 Mythology
Lord Ganesha was created by Goddess Parvati from the turmeric paste and was given the power to guard the entrance. When Lord Shiva beheaded him, Parvati's grief was so immense that Shiva promised to bring him back, replacing his head with that of an elephant.
🙏 Worship & Offerings
Modakam (sweet dumplings), durva grass, and red flowers are offered. Wednesday is considered especially auspicious for worshipping Balaganapathi.

Goddess Tripurasundari emerged from the fire of knowledge to defeat the demon Bhandasura. Her form as Bala represents the innocence and power of divine youth.

When Goddess Sati's yoni fell at Kamarupa, the site became the Kamakhya Temple. She is the goddess who grants desires and fulfills the deepest longings of devotees.

Red flowers, vermilion, and coconut are offered. The Ambubachi Mela celebrates her annual menstruation, symbolizing fertility.

Bhairava was born from Shiva's anger when Brahma lied. He cut off Brahma's fifth head and wandered as a Kapali. His Unamtha (intoxicated) form represents the blissful state beyond worldly consciousness.
